It's the calm after the storm. We moved across the country. We did it. There are things lost along the way, but my faith that everything will work out has grown stronger. As we settle into our new home and find a new routine, my family is starting to find room to spend time on our passions again. Mostly me.
My business Ray & Stone will be relaunching on September 1st! The website is ready to go, and I've prepped as much as I could security wise. However, I discovered recently that the targeted Facebook hack in Dec 2022 had further repercussions than I originally thought.
I originally had thought that my monetization account was only targeted. I had 20+ posts posted almost instantly of highly inappropriate content on my own personal page. I was devastated, but thankfully Facebook's algorithm quickly detected this and removed the content. Unfortunately the algorithm that gives points against your account for posting inappropriate content did not account for the fact that I, the account owner, did not approve of this content. I was demonetized over night.
Let me explain. On my personal Facebook account, I have been extremely active for years. I was one of the first that I know to get an invitation to an exclusive performance bonus program in which you get paid out for likes, shares, comments and views on Facebook posts posted to your personal page...and the loophole.. was public groups.
Public group posting was successful if you partnered with the admin of a page that has high USA engagement and traffic. So I found someone and partnered with them. We created a strategy and it took off. My success was so great that I decided I couldn't keep it to myself. It does not hurt me in any way to teach others how to do the same thing. The amount of money is potentially life changing when the performance bonus maxes at 30k per month.
I started a Facebook group and began to teach the method. Shortly after I was hacked. Even though I had 2 factor authentication on and active, I did not even receive a text. I can only assume I was targeted due to my shared success. I only knew of the inappropriate posts and demonetization which took me over one year and multiple escalations through paid Facebook support. I eventually got my monetization back but the loophole and methods no longer work.
Since then, I have been heavily focused on my personal life. Moving and raising my son and my dog. Recently, as we've gotten settled, I've been ready to jump back into work.
I prepared everything for the Ray & Stone launch. I updated the Facebook page. I tried to log into the Instagram, only to be unable to remember my password. I do not recognize the recovery email. My instagram is however limitedly synced with my other business' Facebook page (Liquid Lux Essentials). As I dug into the backend of my Facebook page, I found that the hacker also invaded my main business portfolio. A weird agency as admin and an unrecognized email reigning full control over my portfolio. All I can do Is post..
Additionally, the same day that the inappropriate posts were made, ads were launched. We were refunded. My ad account was disabled and restricted.
I've been in contact with support however they are not helpful as all they have done is remove the restrictions. Not remove access from the hacker.
